OUR WINE PLANTS GROWING FAST

2 months have passed since we started with the planting process and even though some individual samples did not come out of the ground we have had a remarkable start. The only variety, which couldn't make it was Cabernet Franc (2000 units), which we will plant in 2007.

TRACTOR CLEANING THE VINEYARD

While we are still waiting for the delivery of the new tractor, our people are busy in keeping the vineyard free of bugs and bushes. We pass through the aisles twice with a rented tractor to keep our wine plants healthy.

TOURISM & HOTEL PROJECT- FIRST IDEAS

Our architect, agronomist and myself had several meetings to define how to best use the central square of the finca for construction purposes (hotel, lake, etc...)

OUR WORKERS IN THE VINEYARD

While the plants are growing fast, we have several workers looking after the olive trees, wine plants and trying to control the small bushes. Some of them also have a little siesta to recover energy for the afternoon.

FIRST ASADO IN NEW HOUSE

To celebrate the new housing facilities we organised an asado and invited our architect, Christoph- a friend from Austria and Cristobal Undurraga, the agronomist of Montes, our neighbour

HOUSE REFURBISHED

After 4 weeks of work we finalised repairing the existing house to allow Chucki- our Finca supervisor and Irrigation specialist a decent accomodation. It only needs some painting

As we have now officially hired our first employee (Chucki) in charge for irrigation and general issues on the property, we started improving the shape of one of the houses on the land

CLEANING THE VINEYARD

After we finalized the planting process in october we got a tractor to start cleaning the aisles from the fast growing bushes. It was not an easy task, as the tractor got stuck and I had to bring in my little 4W Daihatsu to get the tractor moving.

OLIVE TREES- FINAL PART

We planted the last 35 trees on the western border of our property

VISIT FROM DENMARK

My relatives from Denmark made all their way to the finca to get an introduction to the vineyard and the irrigation system by our agronomist Mario. We ended up with a traditional asado before we head our way back to the city
