WINE-FINAL BLENDS

On november 22 we decided on the final cuts for our 2007 wines. Alvaro Espinoza together with Mario Toso and myself tasted 11 bottles Cabernet and Malbec from winetanks and french barrels. After 3 hours of tasting and blending we got the desired wines. 5000 liters Malbec Reserva, 5045 liters Cabernet Reserva and 2150 liters Malbec Premium. Stay tuned for the technical details and winetasting notes of these 3 wines, which we will start selling mid 2008.

WALKING THROUGH THE VINEYARD

As spring is coming to an end our vineyard is increasing its amount in grapes. While the Syrah grapes are still flowering, our Sauvignon Blanc has already green grapes and the Malbec vines are already 2 meters tall. Mario, our agronomist and Alvaro, our winemaker are watching closely and analysing the organic field works

NEW ENTRANCE TO THE VINEYARD

We have started building up a small wall to give a decent entry to the property. We will cover this 1 meter high entrance with natural stones of the Mendoza region

HOUSE- FINAL STEPS

The second house is almost ready- this week we tested some components for our roof and decided on the colour of the buildings. We should be finalized by mid december

VINEYARD- NEW LOOK

As part of our improvements to make the vineyard more attractive for our visitors we have planted fruit trees on the property borders and internal sideroads and are in process of setting up a "quincho" for our guests, who want to enjoy a nice asado with great views to the Andes mountains.

DEFINING COLOUR OF HOUSE

As we are completing the renovation of the second house we have to define the colour of the buildings. Give me your comments on what colour you like most.....

GREEN PRUNING

As the plants continue to grow Mario has started training the employees how to shorten the plant in order to allow good ventilation and healthy development of the grapes. It is called the second pruning of the season.

FIRST GRAPES ON THE VINEYARD

The first heatwaves have already brought the first grapes to most of our vineyard, which means that we will be able to have our first harvest in march 2008 !

We still need to define if and how we are going to use them for our 2008 production, but things look promissing indeed.

We have also had 2 severe thunderstorms with hail on our property- too good that we have now the anti hail equipment set up to protect us from any damage on the vineyard
